The Finished Rock
See my previous post back in March about this rock that travel 11 days and 105 miles to become "Levitated Mass."
Can't say I'm really impressed. It doesn't look like its levitating to me...looks more like its resting on two cement railings. Maybe if I was small and looking straight up at it...

Rascals
So Rascal ended up getting really sick on us. She has diabetes and our vet didn't give her much of a chance of coming out of it....but thanks to my brother and his experience with his cat Will, we were able to get her 24 hour around the clock monitoring to figure out her levels and to know how much insulin to give her. She spent a few days in the hospital and made a bunch of friends there.
She was so happy to see us and to go home that she wouldn't stop trying to get us to hold her. She isn't so much of all day grazer anymore but she definitely knows when we are in the kitchen and will lay in the way just to make sure if anyone is messing with her fancy feast. I was hoping that her shared disease with Will, would make her a little considerate of him but nope she still tries to eat her cousins and little man!!!

Enough to piss the Pope off!!
So Obama (how sad is that I had to look up how to spell his name?) was in town a couple of days ago. I heard about it the night before he was coming into town. I warned Michael the next morning that traffic was going to be a holy terror because for some reason when Presidents come into town, they like to come into it during rush hour traffic. Thankfully he was kind enough to land at LAX and helicopter into West LA. So while we were sitting at the light on Centinela and Culver, I felt like Radar from MASH, I could hear them, but I couldn't see them and last minute I decided to take a picture...look for the three helicopters, the President is in one of them.
The next morning, I didn't pay attention to the news, dropped Michael off at work and BAM got onto the 405 South went about 3 miles and just in between exits with no place to go, traffic stopped. I mean STOPPED, like turn off your engine and roll down the windows and hang your feet out because your not going ANYWHERE!!! Again thanks Mr. President for at least avoiding rush hour morning traffic like I was trying to do but I really didn't enjoy sitting in the truck for 20 minutes, while your caravaning back to LAX through Inglewood and completely shut down the 405 so you can get on Slauson and head down a deserted south bound 405...when will they ever learn???? If you want my vote don't piss me off with holding up traffic its bad as it is, don't make it worse.
20 mins of this!!! Why is is that I always get stuck in traffic with the Democrats and not the Republicans? Like I said that morning was enough to piss the Pope off and he has enough already to be pissed off about!!!

Backyard Visitors
We had a little family come visit us. The Mom wasn't too thrilled about having us interrupt them but these guys just wanted to play. They must have spent at least 20 minutes in the yard chasing each other with Michael less the 6 feet away.
Picture not great sorry...from the camera phone looking through the sliding door.
