Memorial Weekend 2014
Flew up to spend the holiday weekend with Thalea and the Boys (Byron included). The boys ran a little marathon race bright and early Saturday morning down in American Fork. They had a blast and did pretty well for their age groups. I met a man who was at the race as a volunteer that had been in the Brazil mission while Mom was on her Mission. He remembered her name and that she use to play with him (he was a kid) in the mission office. I guess he use to come and play with President Bangader's kids after school and since she was watching those kids sometimes, he got a free babysitter as well
Monday - Memorial Day we went up the Heber Creeper aka Wild West Days and rode the train. The train got robbed while we were on it, as you can see by the pictures. After the train ride they had Old West stuff, Indian Teepees and how to make stuff, they also had a shotout at the O K Corral type thing, when the gun shots went off, everyone jumped from the noise and suprisenly I was like hmmmmm, just another day in Long Beach. After that we went to a really good Mexican place for lunch and then headed back down the valley where we stopped to put some flowers on Byron's Moms grave.
